A rose by any other name...

I’ve had my PC for a few weeks now, and I’m still discovering software I didn’t even know it had. Today, I stumbled across Windows Movie Maker and had hours of fun. The wee movie I’ve got here isn’t likely to win any Oscars (and the name is utter pish and totally unoriginal), but I had a lot of fun making it. And, I must admit, I surprised myself at how easy it was - it seems that the three years I spent at college studying media aren’t totally without merit. God, and there was me thinking that Video Production had been a waste of time!

Nice vid :) Movie Maker is a great tool, really simple to use. No offence to your media training ;)
I keep meaning to edit our honeymoon videos but not getting round to it. I cut together our wedding video in it and threw in some pics too. Can't remember what I used, but then I managed to get all that on a DVD :)

I am still reading all your posts btw, but I never seem to have the time to reply when I read them, and then I forget to do so later.

Nice pics though :)

What camera do you have?

I enjoy taking photos. I really want to get a camera phone with a decent (within reason) camera, as I so often want to take pictures of random things when I don't have a camera with me. It doesn't sound like you ever have that problem! ;)

And yes, taking photos of anything which changes over time is always cool to look back on in the future - whether it's people or places, it's often fascinating or amusing ;)
(Like we recently noticed that every photo of my sister for the first several years of her life appears to capture her in a complete state of shock - mouth and eyes wide open in almost every pic :)

And I honestly don't know why my dad had to go and get the camera ready the first time I saw my mum having a grapefruit for breakfast and I insisted I wanted to try it too ;)

Thanks for the vid comments. It was dead easy to use - but I'd like to point out that I can actually use professional editing software too, so it *should* have been easy!

My camera is an Olympus FE-120. I take it everywhere. Really - I am obsessed. At least I think my friends have got used to it now.

Thanks for taking th time out to read my blog! I'll head over to yours again today for a read now I have a bit more time!
